Cellcast Referral Program – Terms & Conditions
General Terms and Conditions of the Cellcast Referral Program
Effective Date: March 15, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Referral Terms”) govern participation in the Cellcast Referral Program (“Program”) operated by Cellcast Pty Ltd (“Cellcast”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to these Referral Terms in addition to the Cellcast Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
If there is any inconsistency between these Referral Terms and the Cellcast Terms of Service, the Cellcast Terms of Service will prevail.
1. Program Overview
The Cellcast Referral Program allows existing Cellcast customers to invite other businesses to use the Cellcast messaging platform.
When an eligible referral is completed, both the Referrer and the referred business may receive promotional campaign credits, subject to the conditions outlined below.
The Referral Program is intended to reward genuine word-of-mouth recommendations between businesses.
2. Eligibility
To participate as a Referrer you must:
- Hold an active Cellcast account in good standing
- Comply with Cellcast’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy
- Have no overdue invoices or account restrictions
Cellcast reserves the right to determine eligibility at its sole discretion.
The Referral Program is intended for business users referring other businesses on an occasional basis.
3. Referral Rewards
Subject to these Terms:
- The Referrer will receive $100 in Cellcast campaign credit
- The Referred Customer will receive $30 in Cellcast campaign credit
Credits will be applied to the respective Cellcast accounts once the qualifying referral conditions have been met.
Referral credits are issued as platform credits only and have no cash value.
4. Qualifying Referral Requirements
A referral will be considered valid only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The Referred Customer signs up for Cellcast using the Referrer’s unique referral code or referral link.
- The Referred Customer is a new customer who has not previously held a Cellcast account.
- The Referred Customer sends a qualifying campaign with a minimum spend of AUD $50 using the Cellcast platform.
- The campaign must be successfully processed and delivered through Cellcast infrastructure.
- The Referred Customer must maintain an active account in good standing.
Referral credits are typically issued within 7–14 business days after the qualifying conditions have been satisfied.
5. Credit Usage and Expiry
Referral credits:
- Are issued as Cellcast account credits
- May be used for SMS, MMS, messaging campaigns, automation workflows, or API messaging
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
- Cannot be transferred between accounts
- Cannot be withdrawn or exchanged
Unless otherwise stated, referral credits expire 90 days after they are issued.
Unused credits will automatically expire after this period.
6. Agency and Affiliate Participation
The Cellcast Referral Program is designed for individual customers referring businesses they know.
Businesses or individuals who refer customers as part of a commercial activity are not eligible for the standard Referral Program.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Marketing agencies
- Consultants
- Technology resellers
- CRM or software platforms
- Integration partners
- White-label service providers
Participants conducting referrals as part of a business activity must apply for the Cellcast Affiliate or Partner Program, which offers a separate commercial arrangement designed for ongoing referrals.
Cellcast reserves the right to determine whether a participant qualifies as an agency, affiliate, or commercial partner.
Where Cellcast determines that referrals are being generated commercially, Cellcast may:
- Remove referral rewards issued under the Referral Program
- Reclassify the participant under the Affiliate or Partner Program
- Require participation under the relevant affiliate terms before future referrals are accepted
7. Prohibited Activities
Participants must not engage in behaviour intended to manipulate or exploit the Referral Program.
The following activities are prohibited:
Self-referrals
Creating additional accounts to refer yourself.
Duplicate accounts
Creating or controlling multiple accounts in order to generate referral rewards.
Agency referral farming
Creating or onboarding multiple accounts under your control to generate referral credits.
Platform or automation abuse
Using scripts, automation tools, or API integrations to artificially trigger qualifying campaigns.
Paid advertising or impersonation
Promoting referral links through advertisements, websites, or communications that impersonate Cellcast or imply official affiliation without permission.
Spam or unsolicited communications
Promoting referral codes using methods that violate anti-spam laws or applicable regulations.
8. Referral Review and Verification
Cellcast may review referral activity to verify eligibility and prevent misuse.
Cellcast reserves the right to:
- Delay or withhold referral rewards pending investigation
- Request verification of business identity
- Reject referrals deemed fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with the intent of the program
Cellcast’s determination regarding referral validity is final.
9. Program Limits
Cellcast may apply limits to referral rewards, including but not limited to:
- Maximum rewards per customer
- Maximum rewards per business entity
- Maximum rewards within a given time period
Cellcast reserves the right to introduce or modify such limits at any time.
10. Program Modification or Termination
Cellcast may modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time.
This includes changes to:
- Reward amounts
- Qualifying campaign spend thresholds
- Credit expiry periods
- Eligibility criteria
Any changes will be published on the Cellcast website.
Referrals that have already met the qualifying requirements prior to a program change will be honoured under the terms in effect at that time.
11. Taxes
Participants are responsible for any tax obligations arising from participation in the Referral Program.
Cellcast does not provide tax advice and recommends participants seek independent professional advice where necessary.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cellcast will not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from participation in the Referral Program.
Cellcast’s decisions regarding eligibility, referral validation, and credit issuance are final.
13. Governing Law
These Referral Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes arising from participation in the Referral Program will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
